Volleyball Recap: West Brunswick Takes a Loss

West Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the South Brunswick Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 16-25, 25-17.

West Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for South Brunswick, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Brunswick will challenge Laney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Brunswick, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cape Fear Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 3.
