Softball Recap: Custer County Comes Up Short

Custer County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 16-5 to the Laurel Locomotives. If the Cowboys were looking for revenge after losing 19-2 to the Locomotives when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Custer County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Laurel, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1-1.

Custer County has already played their next game (against Cut Bank), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Laurel, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-6 win against Dawson County on the 12th.
