Softball Game Preview: Brooke Point Black Hawks vs. Stafford Indians

Brooke Point hasn't had much luck against Stafford recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Black Hawks will welcome the Indians at 6:00 p.m.

Brooke Point is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They fell 9-4 to North Stafford.

Brooke Point saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Halston (Shenandoah University, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that Halston (Shenandoah University has launched this season.

Meanwhile, Stafford was able to grind out a solid win over Colonial Forge on Friday, taking the game 10-5.

Madelyn Thompson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bayla Franklin, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

The victory got Stafford back to even at 6-6. As for Brooke Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
