While Kickapoo's victory against Wonewoc-Center wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wolves 6-4.

Kickapoo got a big performance out of Brentyn Ewing, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Barrett Williams, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

The victory got Kickapoo back to even at 1-1. As for Wonewoc-Center, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Kickapoo will venture away from home to take on North Crawford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Wonewoc-Center, they will face off against Hillsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
