Volleyball Game Preview: Corvallis Spartans vs. West Albany Bulldogs

Corvallis hasn't had much luck against West Albany recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Spartans will face off against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Corvallis sitting on five straight victories and West Albany on three.

While Corvallis' win against Silverton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans won by a set and slipped past the Foxes 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted since September 20th.

Corvallis got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The final score came out to 30-28, 16-25, 12-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Meanwhile, West Albany made easy work of McKay on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

West Albany's got stronger as the match went on, holding McKay to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-9, 25-3.

Corvallis' record is now 16-7. As for West Albany, their record now sits at 14-8.

Corvallis might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from West Albany in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
