Eastridge put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Newark Reds by a score of 70-60. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Reds are ranked 155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eastridge's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Newark, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastridge will head out to take on Churchville-Chili at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newark, they are taking a road trip to challenge Palmyra-Macedon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Newark knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Palmyra-Macedon likes a good challenge.
