Baseball Game Preview: Hardin Northern Polar Bears vs. Pandora-Gilboa Rockets

The Hardin Northern Polar Bears will head out to take on the Pandora-Gilboa Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hardin Northern has four straight wins, Pandora-Gilboa has 14 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Hardin Northern gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Ridgemont as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The Polar Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pandora-Gilboa came up short against Arcadia on Wednesday and fell 6-1.

Pandora-Gilboa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was G Kempf, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Hardin Northern's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Pandora-Gilboa, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.

Hardin Northern was able to grind out a solid victory over Pandora-Gilboa when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Polar Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
