Basketball Game Preview: Waynesville Spartans vs. Valley View Spartans

The Waynesville Spartans will challenge the Valley View Spartans at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Valley View took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Waynesville, who comes in off a win.

Waynesville took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 56-47 win over Eaton. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Eagles are ranked 563rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Valley View came up short against Brookville on Tuesday and fell 64-52. The Spartans have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Waynesville is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Valley View, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-4.
