Mountain View Christian Academy has no trouble against Wakefield Country Day

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Covenant Life, the Mountain View Christian Academy Conquerors were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Wakefield Country Day with a sharp 58-34 win. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, as Mountain View Christian Academy did.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain View Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gaven Vaughn, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds. Devin Michael was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.

Despite the defeat, Wakefield Country Day saw an underclassman step up: Jacob Didomenico scored 14 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals. Didomenico scored a full 41.2% of Wakefield Country Day's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Owen Kazmier, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds.

Mountain View Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Wakefield Country Day, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View Christian Academy will take on Massanutten Military Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wakefield Country Day, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on December 6th. Varsity Opponent is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
