Volleyball Game Preview: Alma Center Lincoln Hornets vs. Osseo-Fairchild Thunder

The Alma Center Lincoln Hornets will face off against the Osseo-Fairchild Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Alma Center Lincoln lost 3-0 to Blair-Taylor on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Osseo-Fairchild didn't have quite enough to beat Pepin/Alma on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Osseo-Fairchild took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 15-8.

Alma Center Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Osseo-Fairchild, their loss dropped their record down to 3-20.

Alma Center Lincoln came out on top in a nail-biter against Osseo-Fairchild when the teams last played back in September of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
