Basketball Recap: Westfield Area Beats Almond-Bancroft for Their Third Straight Victory

While Westfield Area didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Almond-Bancroft Eagles on Monday, sneaking past 60-57. The win was all the more spectacular given the Pioneers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Eagles are ranked 97th).

The victory (which was Westfield Area's third in a row) raised their record to 6-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Almond-Bancroft, they moved to 9-3 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.
