Basketball Recap: Elcho Comes Up Short

Elcho was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 97-29 loss at the hands of the Goodman-Pembine Falcons. The Hornets lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 80-72 score last time.

Elcho's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Goodman-Pembine, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-11 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elcho has already played their next match (against Florence), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Goodman-Pembine Falcons challenge the Three Lakes Bluejays at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
