Cash Johnston posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He struck out five batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Ruidoso is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 5-11-1 otherwise.

Johnston's strong effort led Ruidoso over Bosque and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
