Recap: Lone Oak Buffaloes vs. Edgewood Bulldogs

The Lone Oak Buffaloes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Edgewood 53-18. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lone Oak has scored all season.

Edgewood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blair McPherson, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which McPherson has scored at least a third of Edgewood's points. Another player making a difference was Kassidy Paul, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.

Lone Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Edgewood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Lone Oak will head out on the road to face off against Prairiland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairiland is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Edgewood will take on Chisum at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Chisum focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday.
