Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, ALA - West Foothills couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Northwest Christian Crusaders by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Guardians' defeat signaled the end of their 16-game winning streak.

Among those leading the charge was Trace Martin, who had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in April.

ALA - West Foothills' loss dropped their record down to 32-5. As for Northwest Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

As of now, neither ALA - West Foothills nor Northwest Christian have any future games scheduled.
