Recap: Palmetto Tigers vs. Sarasota Sailors
The Palmetto Tigers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Sarasota, falling 59-25. Palmetto has not had much luck with Sarasota recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Sarasota's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paisley Binswanger, who scored 16 points along with seven steals. Sofi Miller was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Palmetto has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Sarasota, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.
Palmetto's road trip will continue as they head out to face Keswick Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Keswick Christian is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games. As for Sarasota, they will head out on the road to square off against Southeast at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 549th, while Sarasota is ranked 48th).
