Basketball Recap: Quantico Takes a Loss

Quantico played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Wakefield School Fighting Owls , falling 36-5. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Fighting Owls recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Wakefield School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Joelle Domfeh out in front who posted six points in addition to nine steals, eight boards, and seven assists. Those seven assists gave Domfeh a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andie Mason, who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.

Quantico's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Wakefield School, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Quantico will venture away from home to take on Tandem Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Quantico is facing Tandem Friends at the right time seeing as Tandem Friends is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Wakefield School, they will face off against Fredericksburg Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wakefield School's defense has only allowed 16.5 points per game this season, so Fredericksburg Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
