Baseball Recap: Redbank Valley Find Success

Redbank Valley got themselves on the board against Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley on Monday, but Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley never followed suit. They came out on top against Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley by a score of 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley: they've now won three in a row.

Carson Gould and Jaxon Huffman made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Gould pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Huffman didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over 5.2 innings pitched. Gould has become a key player for Redbank Valley: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 1-3 otherwise. At the plate, Gould went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI, while Huffman scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Braylon Wagner, who scored a run while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Breckin Minich also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Redbank Valley's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-2.
