Basketball Game Preview: McEachern Indians vs. South Cobb Eagles

McEachern is 3-0 against South Cobb since November of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The McEachern Indians will venture away from home to take on the South Cobb Eagles at 6:00 p.m. McEachern is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, McEachern came up short against Campbell and fell 62-50. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Spartans are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, South Cobb played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Paulding County 77-17. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-5.

South Cobb has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for McEachern, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

McEachern took their win against South Cobb in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 54-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for McEachern since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
