Volleyball Game Preview: Shawnee Indians vs. Memorial Roughriders + How To Watch

Shawnee is 9-1 against Memorial since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Indians will welcome the Roughriders at 7:00 p.m. Shawnee will be strutting in after a victory while Memorial will be coming in after a loss.

On Saturday, Shawnee was able to grind out a solid win over Lehman Catholic, taking the game 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Shawnee took both sets by at least 25 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0.

Shawnee found their leader in sophomore Chelsea Burkholder, who had 23 assists and six digs. Burkholder is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Meanwhile, Memorial lost 3-0 to Parkway on Monday.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-21.

Shawnee has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Memorial, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Shawnee skirted past Memorial 3-2 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Roughriders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
