Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lorenzo Buttice and Lucas Barragan Lead Immaculata-La Salle to Victory

There's no place like home for Immaculata-La Salle, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Downtown Doral Dolphins 3-0 on Thursday. The Royal Lions not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20th.

Immaculata-La Salle not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Downtown Doral between 17 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-18.

Leading Immaculata-La Salle to victory were Lucas Barragan and Lorenzo Buttice. Barragan had 17 assists and five digs, while Buttice had 18 digs, 11 kills, and one block. Those 18 digs gave Buttice a new career-high.

Immaculata-La Salle's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Downtown Doral, they dropped their record down to 6-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Immaculata-La Salle will square off against iMater Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Downtown Doral, they will challenge Greater Miami Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
