Randallstown extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping them down to 3-5. They came up short against the Franklin Indians, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 on Wednesday.

Christopher Ross was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases.
Ross wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Richardson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. That hit marked the first that Richardson has got this season.
As for Franklin, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Like Randallstown, Franklin also got a great game from a two-way player: Hunter Shapiro. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Shapiro was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Adan Landsman and James Prinz did most of the damage at the plate: Landsman went 1-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base, while Prinz went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ryan Hartman, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.
Looking ahead, Randallstown will challenge New Town at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Franklin, they will host Owings Mills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
