Basketball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Christian Beats Marshall Christian Academy for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Mt. Pleasant Christian won the last time they faced Marshall Christian Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the Mt. Pleasant Christian Lions' way against the Marshall Christian Academy Stallions as the Mt. Pleasant Christian Lions made off with a 58-33 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Lions have posted against the Stallions since February 4, 2022.

Mt. Pleasant Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Karson Battles led the charge by going 7 of 12 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jon Caden Moon, who posted 14 points and six rebounds.

The win was the fourth in a row for Mt. Pleasant Christian, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Marshall Christian Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Mt. Pleasant Christian and Marshall Christian Academy will both be playing Master's Hand Christian the next time they take the court. Marshall Christian Academy will host Master's Hand Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Mt. Pleasant Christian will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
