Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Papillion-Lavista South's 17th in Last 18 Outings

With a playoff win on the line, Papillion-LaVista South rose to the challenge on Saturday. They skirted past the Omaha Westside Warriors 61-58. 61 seems to be a good number for the Titans as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Papillion-LaVista South's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryson Bahl, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 21 points along with five boards and three steals. Bahl's big performance that afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Jayden Herrera was another key player, shooting 75% from the field en route to 17 points and five rebounds.

Omaha Westside lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lee Robinson, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 15 points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emre Gedik, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 15 points.

Papillion-LaVista South is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points over those games. Omaha Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 24-5.

As of now, neither Papillion-LaVista South nor Omaha Westside have any future games scheduled.
