Football Game Preview: Rome Wolves vs. Houston County Bears + How To Watch

The Rome Wolves will be playing at home against the Houston County Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rome knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Houston County likes a good challenge.

Rome is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 47-16 victory over Lovejoy. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wolves had established a 27-point advantage.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Houston County). They breezed past Creekview to the tune of 59-14 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Houston County's win came from a few key players Rome will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Colin Anderson, who rushed for 85 yards and two scores on only seven carries, and also caught one TD. His longest rush was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Mj Mathis was in the mix too, providing Houston County with two touchdowns.

Rome's record now sits at 9-2. As for Houston County, their record is now 10-1.
