Basketball Recap: West Henderson Takes a Loss

West Henderson lost against North Henderson back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The West Henderson Falcons took a 68-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Henderson Knights.

When it comes to explaining why West Henderson lost, don't look at Tyler Nash. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and five boards. With that strong performance, Nash is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Parker Maltby was another key player, going 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points.

Even though they lost, West Henderson was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. This was only their 12th loss (out of 15 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Leading North Henderson to victory were Caleb Heiny and Brayden Hudson. Heiny went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points and five rebounds, while Hudson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Coronell, who posted nine points.

West Henderson has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for North Henderson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

West Henderson has already played their next matchup, a 61-48 loss against East Henderson on the 24th. As for North Henderson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-60 victory against Smoky Mountain on the 24th.
