Soccer Game Preview: Castle View vs. Broomfield

Meanwhile, Broomfield faced Cherry Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bruins. That's two games straight that Broomfield have won by just one goal.

Ava Boettcher and Marin Kotschau scored both of Broomfield's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Broomfield's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven matches. As for Castle View, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3-3.
