Everett is a perfect 3-0 against Windber since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Warriors will take on the Ramblers at 4:30 p.m. Everett will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Saturday, Everett got the win against Chestnut Ridge by a conclusive 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Levi Cornell, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Johnathan Cooper, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Everett was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .394 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Windber was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They fell 5-2 to Richland. The Ramblers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Logan Serenko was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Serenko wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ike Serenko, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Ike is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Windber's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Everett, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Everett hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349. However, it's not like Windber struggles in that department as they've averaged .325. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everett got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Windber by a conclusive 14-8 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Ramblers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
