Basketball Recap: Prince of Peace Prep Comes Up Short

Prince of Peace Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 80-29 loss at the hands of the Marquette Defenders. While losing is never fun, the Irish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Defenders are ranked 131st).

Prince of Peace Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Marquette, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Prince of Peace Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-43 loss against Wilton on the 23rd. As for Marquette, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-51 defeat against Edgewood-Colesburg on the 23rd.
