Volleyball Recap: George West Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Destiny Salazar and Lena Kate Bowen

George West lost against London back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Longhorns lost 3-0 to the Pirates. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-8, 25-12.

George West's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lena Kate Bowen, who had nine digs and six assists, and Destiny Salazar, who had seven kills and three digs. Salazar has been hot for a while, having posted seven or more kills the last nine times she's played.

George West's defeat dropped their record down to 16-19. As for London, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
