Recap: Logan Grizzlies vs. South Summit Wildcats
The Logan Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 67-19 loss at the hands of South Summit. Logan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-5.
South Summit's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mariah Bowen led the charge by scoring 14 points along with nine steals and eight rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Broadbent, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Logan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for South Summit, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logan will be home for the holidays to greet Tooele at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Tooele focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Thursday. As for South Summit, they will play host again and welcome Altamont, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Altamont is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
