Volleyball Recap: Atascadero Takes a Loss

Atascadero was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Santa Ynez Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 1st.

Atascadero's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Santa Ynez, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

Looking ahead, Atascadero will be playing at home against Orcutt Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Greyhounds surely won't give up without a fight. As for Santa Ynez, they will challenge Santa Barbara at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
