Mark Twain had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. Everything went their way against the Van-Far Indians as they made off with a 52-26 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 25-5.

Van-Far's loss came despite strong showings from Chloe Zumwalt and Elliott Utterback. Zumwalt went 5 for 10 on her way to 10 points in addition to six boards and five blocks, while Utterback posted 11 points and seven rebounds. Those five blocks gave Zumwalt a new career-high.

Mark Twain's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points over those games. As for Van-Far, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers take on the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Van-Far, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 47-35 victory against Eugene on the 10th.
