Baseball Recap: Rockport-Fulton Comes Up Short on the Road Against Falfurrias

Rockport-Fulton kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Falfurrias Fightin' Jerseys, falling 17-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pirates have suffered since April 2, 2024.

Rockport-Fulton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reid Snyder, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The dominant performance also gave Snyder a new career-high in hits (three).

Falfurrias pushed their record up to 2-0-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Rockport-Fulton will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on West Oso at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Falfurrias, they will venture away from home to square off against King at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
