Mankato East had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.4 points) and they went ahead and made it 16 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Century Panthers as they made off with an 88-64 win. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Panthers are ranked 163rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mankato East pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Century, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing John Marshall the next time they take the court. Mankato East will head out to face John Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Century will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
