Albemarle has gone a perfect 6-0 against Goochland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Albemarle will be strutting in after a victory while Goochland will be coming in after a defeat.

Albemarle's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Fluvanna County. Given Albemarle's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Fluvanna County are ranked 229th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Goochland fell victim to Charlottesville and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Black Knights. Goochland haven't had much luck with Charlottesville recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Albemarle pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those six matchups. As for Goochland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Albemarle was able to grind out a solid victory over Goochland when the teams last played back in April, winning 3-1. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
