Soccer Recap: Grayson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rockdale County last Tuesday, Grayson came back down to earth. The Grayson Rams took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Gwinnett Comets on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost six in a row.

Grayson now has a losing record of 3-4. As for South Gwinnett, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Coming up, Grayson will venture away from home to take on Archer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Grayson will be up against Archer's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.71 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for South Gwinnett, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Rockdale County at 5:30 a.m. South Gwinnett is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.
