Volleyball Recap: Burgin Comes Up Short

If Burgin was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of LIGHT HomeSchool two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Mercer County Titans on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Burgin's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Mercer County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burgin will square off against Frankfort Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mercer County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
