Baseball Recap: Chariho Gets the Win

Chariho gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Toll Gate Titans by a score of 9-5. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 10-8 victory the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2021.

Chariho got a big performance out of Landon Sumner, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Sumner has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Everett Knerr, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Chariho now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Toll Gate, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Chariho is set to take on their familiar foe Narragansett at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Toll Gate will challenge rival Prout at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
