Softball Game Preview: Bangs Dragons vs. Cisco Loboes

The Bangs Dragons will take on the Cisco Loboes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Cisco will be up against a hot Bangs squad: the team just extended their winning streak to seven. The Dragons put the hurt on Ballinger with a sharp 18-8 victory on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Cheyenne Rush, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 5-for-5. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Stormy Stringer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Rush wasn't the only one making solid contact: Bangs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Cisco made easy work of Coleman last Friday and carried off a 22-7 win. The Loboes haven't had any issues with the Bluecats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Bangs' win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.1 runs over those games. As for Cisco, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
