Recap: Hi-Plains Patriots vs. Stratton Eagles
The Hi-Plains Patriots suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Stratton 73-37. Hi-Plains was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-18.
When it comes to explaining why Hi-Plains lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bex Seaman. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
It was another big night for Cyler Notter, who scored 16 points along with three steals and three blocks for Stratton. Notter hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jose Gallardo, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Hi-Plains has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Stratton, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hi-Plains' homestand continues as they prepare to take on Cheylin at 4:00 p.m. on January 19th. Cheylin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 234 points over their last three games. As for Stratton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Eads at 4:00 p.m. Hopefully Eads focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Saturday.
