Recap: Riverdale Rebels vs. West St. John Rams
The Riverdale Rebels won the last time they faced the West St. John Rams, and things went their way on Monday too. Riverdale put the hurt on West St. John with a sharp 41-21 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Riverdale.
Riverdale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mazie Parmley, who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Parmley has scored at least 25% of Riverdale's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maryah Joseph, who scored 11 points along with 6 steals.
Riverdale's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for West St. John, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverdale's road trip will continue as they head out to face East Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on November 29th. East Jefferson's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Riverdale's offense will have their work cut out for Riverdale. As for West St. John, they will head out on the road to face off against Abramson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
