Basketball Recap: Taylor's Crossing Drops Highest Score of Season Against American Heritage

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Taylor's Crossing). They blew past the American Heritage Patriots 53-20 on Saturday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Leading Taylor's Crossing to victory were Alexis Ellis and Hallee Gorton. Ellis dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards, while Gorton dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Those 23 points gave Gorton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Smith, who posted four points and six steals.

Taylor's Crossing was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory got Taylor's Crossing back to even at 8-8. As for American Heritage, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Taylor's Crossing will venture away from home to square off against Challis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Challis' defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Taylor's Crossing's offense will have their work cut out for them. American Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
