Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carvers Bay). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders 61-4. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 27 points or more this season.

Carvers Bay was led to victory by D'Essence Graham and Erykah Brown. Graham went 8 for 14 on her way to 19 points and six steals, while Brown went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Brown a new career-high in points. Jurnee Blye was another key player, going 7 of 13 on her way to 14 points and seven boards.

Carvers Bay smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Carvers Bay's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.0 points per game. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Carvers Bay will challenge Johnsonville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carvers Bay's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Johnsonville's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they will head out to take on Green Sea Floyds at 6:15 p.m. on January 24th.
