It was fun while it lasted, but Northview's undefeated season came to an end after 13 games on Saturday. They fell 74-61 to the Plainfield Quakers. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 76-44 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Northview lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brayden Goff, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 20 points and six assists. The contest was Goff's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Avery Perry was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Leading Plainfield to victory were Noah Smith and Landon Gilliatt. Smith almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds, while Gilliatt went 5 for 11 en route to 16 points and eight assists. With that strong performance, Smith is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Harper Baker-Lands, who posted 11 points.

Northview's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-1. As for Plainfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Northview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-32 win against Owen Valley on the 23rd. As for Plainfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-61 defeat against Lawrence North on the 21st.
