Softball Preview: Oakdale Warriors vs. Logansport Tigers
The Oakdale Warriors will take on the Logansport Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oakdale's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Logansport's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Jolie West made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off 12 hits. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Payton Jones was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Madison Sumbler was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Oakdale hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jennings struck out seven times.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Logansport and Northwood have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Gators with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 16 games by six runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Brooklyn Horton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Oakdale has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6-1 record this season.
