Basketball Recap: Scotland/Menno Piles Up the Points Against Avon

Scotland/Menno came into Tuesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They breezed by the Avon Pirates to the tune of 63-30 on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Trappers' most dominant victory of the season.

Scotland/Menno was led to victory by Bryce Sattler and Izayah Ulmer. Sattler went 5 of 12 en route to 11 points in addition to six boards and six steals, while Ulmer went 6 for 12 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds. Ulmer continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kory Keppen, who posted eight points.

Scotland/Menno's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10. As for Avon, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scotland/Menno will square off against Platte/Geddes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Avon, they will face off against Bon Homme at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Avon is facing Bon Homme at the right time seeing as Bon Homme is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
