Basketball Recap: North Rowan Starts Season with Win at Home

North Rowan took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They strolled past the Thomasville Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 86-71. The win almost wasn't to be: the Cavaliers were down 41-27 in the second quarter.

Carter Williams went supernova, dropping a double-double with 40 points and ten rebounds. Those 40 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Massenburg, who posted 22 points.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jay Jackson, who put up 22 points. Zy'Iveon Holmes was another key player, putting up 15 points.

North Rowan has already played their next game, a 64-49 defeat against West Rowan on the 25th. As for Thomasville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 67-63 victory against Glenn on the 21st.
