Softball Recap: Logan Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Logan and Sheridan meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Chieftains came up short against the Generals, falling 16-5. The Chieftains were not able to make up for their defeat to the Generals from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Alyssa Hill made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Layla Everett, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Logan has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Sheridan, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Logan will face off against Canal Winchester at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sheridan, they will challenge River View at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
