Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monticello). They strolled past the Downsville Central Eagles with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 69-52. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Monticello's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11. As for Downsville Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Monticello will face off against Goshen Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Downsville Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
